I have been a kayak angler for over 10 years. I have fished waters from New Jersey to Oahu, Hawaii. I am dedicated to the development of kayak angling, and contribute to the sport through my writing and in kayak fishing seminars. Im the president and founder of the Tidewater Kayak Anglers Association, Eastern Virginia's largest kayak fishing non-profit organization.
I have a BS in marine biology. And have worked with both state and federal fisheries management agencies. During my seven years with the Virginia Marine Resources Commission, I helped develop the Virginia Saltwater Recreational Fishing Development Program, and was recognized for my contributions with the VMRC's Distinguished Service Award. I currently work for the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality and am a member of a team of specalist responsible for monitoring the water quality of the Chesapeake Bay and its tidal tributaries.
I reside in Virginia Beach, VA with my wife Cheryl, stepson Jeremy, and daughter Cara.
